Try upgrading to one of the latest generation of Linux distrobutions, ie Redhat
Fedora Core 3, Ubuntu 4.10, SuSE 9.2 or whatever the latest Mandrake is.

You will be rewarded by better support, less bugs and more features, making your
Linux experience all the more enjoyable :)
