Re: [Nautilus-list] Constructive Criticism Revisted

a more simple sidebar would rock. I think there's been talk about this
kind of thing around before, but I think it'd be great to have one like
this, where there are multiple roots to the tree view. being able to
fit more into the view would help too.

I guess it's a bit of a 'show me the code' situation though.

something else I've been wondering: is there some way to make one
sidebar panel appear in the sidebar all the time? (eg have the tree
view come up all the time)

one other small tree view question... I don't understand why the tree
view remembers what parts of the tree have and haven't been opened (when
a new window is opened). it's pretty system demanding opening all those
places, and I would have thought only opening the directory which you're
currently in would make more sense.

cheers,
chris
