Excellent point.
What is it that makes opening windows in Nautilus so slow, anyway?
I've got a 1.2GHz Athlon and it still takes five seconds from
releasing the right mouse button on "New Window" to getting a new
window with icons in it.
My home directory's fairly spare, since I also use it as the desktop
-- ten or twelve directories (though mostly with emblems), a couple
of symlinks, three or four actual files -- that's it.
(I'm running 1.0.4, by the way.)
