holding shift, and then clicking on files A and B will select all the
files between A and B, inclusive
Control+click will let you pick individual files
as for a keyboard shortcut, holding control, and pressing space on each
file you want selected seems to work

shift+delete seems to work here too. you have to have the preferences
set on "Advanced," and in the Windows & Desktop section, check "Include
a delete command that bypasses the trash" hope this helps
