I think this is a pretty good idea.

My original fear was that Nautilus with FAM would not show up at all if we 
required that packagers create suitable FAM packages, but in retrospect I 
guess it's silly. Does anyone know what Ximian and Red Hat would do about 
this? Would either of them make a Nautilus package that includes the FAM 
support, or would FAM support become a "cvs-only" feature if we make this 
change?
