I've been thinking about such an interface for CVS and have come up with
something that IMHO would integrate well in Nautilus.
I've put an explenation up at http://het.belgische.net/~jdv/nautilus/cvs/
Of course what I put up there is far from complete (a.o. because I know only a
small part of the CVS system).
