Dunno; but that should be kind of normality to give the translators a "warning"
 about coming releases -- at least to the project i18n mailing list (which should
  be gnome-i18n gnome org in our case).

Yeah. I'm only the coordinator but the translator couldn't believe his eyes as he 
 saw the old (and very 'progressive' translation) in the PR3. To translate nautilus
  completely is not that easy as you can imagine...

Would be very good -- besides galeon, gtranslator and pan almost no other
 app (admins/developers) really take care of translations.

Sometimes Miguel _did_ make anouncements for coming releases but now, all
 core elements are almost "surprisingly" evolving..
