[Nautilus-list] nautilus now dies immediately

nautilus now crashes immediately. When run from a xterm, it dies after
issuing the message:

Trying dir /opt/gnome/share/oaf

Before compiling nautilus, I updated the following modules (not the very
latest):

bonobo, gnome-libs, gnome-vfs, gtkhtml and oaf.

What can trigger the crash ?

The older one compiled on 28th April started  normally.
