I think you will be very interested in P.I.P.S. then. It's a POSIX layer
(a libc, basically) for SymbianOS. I think some people at Nokia have
GLib ported to it already. Not sure about Gtk+ though. I know P.I.P.S.
comes with for example an impl. of pthread.

Such a port would be totally awesome. Let me know when you start with
this.
