[gnome.org #11895] GNOME Foundation Membership - Denied

Dear Jeffrey Cheung,

We regret to inform you that your application to the GNOME Foundation
Membership has been denied.

While we appreciate all the contributions you've been doing as a Project
Manager in Novell, we would like to see some more substantial and
non-trivial contributions coming from you directly to the GNOME
Foundation itself. (more bug triaging, more advocacy, more upstream
work, more visible contributions within the GNOME Foundation)

I would like to suggest you joining any existing GNOME group and
actively contribute there, get known to the community and after a few
months you will be welcome to join our beloved Foundation. (please
remember that having someone vouching for you and your work is usually a
must since we can't personally verify all the specific contributions of
an applicant)

The Membership Committee uses the Membership Policy at
http://foundation.gnome.org/membership/ to determine eligibility.
Please review this policy if you believe this determination was
made in error. You can send questions to this committee by emailing
membership-committee gnome org

You are free to re-apply at any time if you have additional information
which you feel will help illustrate your eligibility to us.

If correspondence with the Membership Committee does not result in
acceptance of your application, you can appeal the determination by
emailing the Board of Directors at board gnome org

Thanks for your patience and interest in the GNOME Foundation.

Sincerely,

The GNOME Foundation Membership Committee
