Summary:
During the last two years I have contributed several patches to Vala language including native regular
expression literals support, Postgres an Mysql database bindings, as well as other library bindings. I have
also contributed several other Vala patches that are in review (e.g. support for build in array sorting).

Detailed description:
Native regular expression literals allow a programmer to write regular expressions into Vala code just like
in Perl. They are checked during compilation time (not at runtime like a library call), the parsing is
optimized in a thread safe manner (the regex is constructed just once when used the first time), and the they
much more simple to use and easier to read in the code.

The Vala library bindings that I have contributed include Postgres, Mysql, Readline, libdaemon, libosso at
least. These bindings make it possible to use the library from Vala language.

Other that are in the review include the following:
* https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=530450
* https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=614015

The array.sort() patch makes it possible to sort() build in arrays in Vala.
