Dear Claude, Andre Klapper, Christian,

the GNOME Membership Committee is about to process Friedel Wolff's
application to become a GNOME Foundation Member and therefore
we would like to receive some feedback about him and his GNOME-related
work.(past and present contributions are usually fine)

Please remember that vouching for a contributor means you really think
he deserves to be a Foundation Member and that you trust him and his
work for the global GNOME community. If unsure about vouching or not,
please let us know why you don't feel enough comfortable in advocating
this applicant.

Friedel is the GNOME Afrikaans translation team coordinator and quite
involved in improving and pushing translation processes for African
languages in Free and Open Source software in general.
He has provided lots of translations for GNOME in Afrikaans (and now
finally has received a git account to commit them himself).
I think that his ideas and concepts are helpful and valuable for I18N in
general (my impression based on his blog, IRC chats and a personal talk
we had at FOSDEM 2009).

Hence I'd love to see him becoming a GNOME foundation member.

Andre Klapper
