Dear Owen, Andrea and Stormy:
The GNOME Foundation Membership Committee needs more information to
process the application of Jeff Schroeder. Since [he/she] has listed
you as the primary contact, the committee would like you to list the
contributions that Jeff Schroeder has made for the GNOME community in
recent times. Your input will be greatly appreciated to help us to make
a fair and informed decision in the granting or denying the applicant as
a foundation member.
I strongly support Jeff's application to be a GNOME Foundation member.
He's been helping GNOME for a while now in three primary ways (from my
perspective):
1) At events. He put together (and manned) the GNOME booth at SCALE last
year and is doing it again this year.
2) On the system infrastructure team. I don't know all the work he's done
here but he's installed our analytics system and CiviCRM and responded
promptly to all my questions and requests about CiviCRM.
3) Financially. He's made some significant financial donations to GNOME.
(Although I realize this doesn't qualify one for GNOME Foundation
membership, I think it helps show his commitment to GNOME.)
