The GNOME Foundation Membership Committee needs more information to
process the application of William Jon McCann. Since [he/she] has listed
you as the primary contact, the committee would like you to list the
contributions that William Jon McCann has made for the GNOME community in
recent times. Your input will be greatly appreciated to help us to make
a fair and informed decision in the granting or denying the applicant as
a foundation member.

He's a code legend, and above all else a thoroughly decent bloke. I've
worked with him on HAL, gnome-screensaver, gnome-power-manager,
ConsoleKit, and in a tiny way on the new GDM. I consider him a personal
friend and hang out with him at GUADEC where possible. He's a
professional coder, and fixes loads of bugs in many GNOME modules.

In my opinion Jon would make a totally great member, and totally gets my
vote.

Same here. And above all that, he's already the maintainer (or
co-maintainer) for at least 3 of the modules in the GNOME SVN. That's on
top of all the other modules he works on.

+1 obviously.
