Detailed description:
I wrote the original VoIP/video calling code for Empathy as part of Google SoC 2007 and have thenceforth 
assisted with its integration and maintenance.

I have subsequently created Empathy's tube handling mechanism, allowing Telepathy tubes to be passed to GNOME 
desktop applications.
