The GNOME foundation membership committee needs more informations to
process the application of Crispin Flowerday . Since you have been
listed as the primary contacts, the committee would like you to list the
contributions that Crispin Flowerday has made for the GNOME community
in recent times. Your input will be greatly appreciated to help us to
make a fair and informed decision in the granting or denying the
applicant as a foundation member.
I'm a bit surprised to receive this mail now, since Crispin's
application seems to have already been approved last month [see
http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/gnome-foundation/applications/approved/crispin_flowerday?rev=1.1&sortby=date&view=markup
], but of course I'm happy to give you more input:
- he's written, for both Epiphany and Galeon, the SSL security component
(NSS dialogues)
- he contributes bug fixes for Epiphany and Epiphany Extensions
- he has written extensions both in Epiphany Extensions (sidebar,
autoscroll) and outside of E-E
- he (together with Jean-FranÃois Rameau and Adam Hooper) wrote the
original python bindings for Epiphany (then in the external Pyphany
component; they've now been integrated into Epiphany since version
1.7.x)
- he's working on the Mono/C# bindings for Epiphany
In short, Crispin is a valuable contributor to Epiphany and GNOME in
general, and completely deserving of foundation membership.
Regards,
Christian
