Membership application of Mikael Holmesland Snaprud

Mikael Snaprud has been primus motor in planning and running GUADEC 5
in Kristiansand, Norway.

Mikael has established Free Software and GNOME awareness in Norway by
teaching FLOSS subjects such as accessibility at the Agder University
College in Norway.

Mikael has been member of the project group at the Norwegian Technology
Council on "Open Source Policy" and has been giving presentations and
arranged install parties for local schools and small businesses.

Mikael has close government contacts in Norway and is a link between
decision makers, education and the Free Software and GNOME community.

Mikael also has good contacts to Norwegian medias and has among other
things started a debate on why it is a bad idea to introduce software
patents in Europe.
