Hi Vincent,
Cool stuff!
Here's a first draft for the elections announcement. There is some cut &
paste from last year announcement. It's not totally perfect: for
example, we should tell how many seats there will be (but that's not
decided yet)
I don't hear any suggestion to change it. So most likely to be
the same as before, 11.
I'd like to update the rules on foundation.gnome.org before sending it.
I was planning to send the announcement to foundation-announce and
foundation-list. Do we have to send it anywhere else ?
The page at foundation.gnome.org definitely need to be updated
and with the last year stuff taken off.

P.S. The membership committe should response with proposal forwarded by
Telsa last Friday before the board meet again this week if possible.
[ sepaking to myself too: I will try to do it today ;) ]
Any comments on it ?
Vincent
========================
The GNOME Foundation Membership & Elections Committee is proud to
announce the beginning of the 2002 elections for the Foundation's Board
of Directors. A description of the role of the Board can be found at
http://foundation.gnome.org/overview.html.
Being a candidate
-----------------
If you are a member of the GNOME Foundation and are interested in
running for election, you may nominate yourself by sending an e-mail to
foundation-announce gnome org with your name, e-mail address, corporate
affiliation (if any), and a description of why you'd like to serve. You
should also send a summary of your candidacy announcement (75 words or
less) to elections gnome org If you are not yet a GNOME Foundation
member and would like to stand for election, you must first apply for
membership and be accepted to be eligible to run. (You may, however,
announce your candidacy prior to formal acceptance of your application;
should your application not be accepted, you will not be included on the
ballot.)
