Trying out the current version
One of Meld's lesser-known features is that it's easy to run without installing it. This is great for just trying out the current version, or for checking to see whether your pet bug has been fixed yet. Just get a copy of the source code from Git by opening a terminal and typing:
git clone https://git.gnome.org/browse/meld
From the directory you cloned into, run:
bin/meld
Hi
I am running Ubuntu 10.04 and have installed Meld 1.3.0 using :
sudo apt-get install meld
I would like to use a more recent version of Meld. How can I do so on Ubuntu 10.04?
Best regards
David
