I did not test the others but gedit (2.28.0) does not diplay traceback
or anything when hiting Ctrl+C, even if there is unsaved changes.

For me meld should, either, die silently or, if there is unsaved
changes, asks user if he really wants to terminate meld and discard
changes.

After, it's your choice to make.
