copy preserve timestamps

Hi!

I would like to suggest a modification in the program. For the moment
when you copy files from one directory to an other the new file always
have the actual date and time. However usually it is preferable to
preserve the timestamps of the original file. With the cp command it can
be done by the -p or -a options. so I hope it would be a big change!
