Why would you want to use a different viewer/editor?
Since you have no experience/bias towards any other ones.
mcedit is great. BTW [by the way] it's called mc [eg. in scripts] therefore
lowerCASE.

* use the <arrow keys> to navigate the hi-lite over the required file &
<F3> to view said file;
<F4> to edit said file;
<enter> to execute said file -- be careful here.
