Hi,
I found it and it seems to work.
* install CompizConfig Settings Manager and start it
* filter "unity" and start Ubuntu Unity Plugin
* at the bottom you will see "Key to open the first panel menu". Edit
it and untick "enabled", i.e. disable it.
Now I can quit from mc with F10 and my F10 binding in vim is also back.
