macro execution

In mcedit I can't execute macros quickly by pressing e.g. <ctrl>-key.
Only '<ctrl>-a, <key>' works. Anyone know how to do that?

I want to hold <ctrl>-key so the macro repeats until I release <ctrl>-key.
