I now see that this facility works in VT-mode but not with X/KDE.
Do I need some setup in mc, or must I investigate KDE ?
Maybe...I'm currently using cvs mc and it works (with <ctrl-enter>)
flawlessly under Kubuntu 7.10 (kde 3.5.8)
