The file at ibiblio.org/pub/linux/utils/file/managers/mc/mc-4.5.55.tar.gz (4440064 bytes) seems to be corrupt. The copy at ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mc/mc-4.5.55.tar.gz (4849958 bytes) is good. It's an old version, so probably not many people have noticed. Anton
