mc very slow in ubuntu

Hi,

I just updated my ubuntu breezy system to dapper and have to
wait about 10 seconds for starting mc in a terminal. I tried
to build the newest package-source (4.6.1) from debian experimental,
but with the same result. Do I miss any package or is there
something else, how I can fix that?
