Re: mc background

Hi Martin,

I am also interested in that topic, so here I can share with you what I have already achieved.

First I am using a transparent Eterm with fluxbox and the background set with Esetroot. Then I set the MC
transparent with an alias and didn't modify the configuration files. So I have in my ~/.bashrc :

alias mc="mc --colors directory=,default:executable=,default:link=,default:devic
e=,default:special=,default:normal=,default:selected=white,blue:marked=,default:
markselect=,blue:core=,black:menu=green,black:menuhot=green,black: menusel=green
,black:menuhotsel=green,black"

Here is a snapshot: http://membres.lycos.fr/kininejack/10062004.png

(sorry it's quite a big file)

Now I would like to achieve total transparency, with only colorized text, without menu backgrounds. I must
find some time to spend on it.

Hope that helps,

Jacques-Olivier.

Hi,
I am trying to get mc tranperent in a term(aterm), but mc uses
background colors. If i have the terminal transperent, then mc overruns
the background image. I red the manual(the options area and abit of
other stuff[and looked at ~/.mc/ini]) but didn't find any hint, how to
get rid of the text background. If that is not possible, then it would
be very cool if u would make an option that makes mc use only text
colour. Then atleast one or more persons would use it every day ;o)

Sorry for bad english :-/
