  Hello,

Recently my Fedora Core 2 box came down with an issue what in my
opinion has roots in X.org X11 implementation, but Fedora developers are
blaming MC:

Based on what I've red in FC lists, the problem can be much bigger - openssh,
xorg or bouth of them. I have another problem here - MC hangs when I create a
directory with new line in the name /I was just testing :)/. After a few tests
I discovered that the problem goes away when I do not have concurent shell. Try
this and 'unset DISPLAY' and see if any or bouth does the trick...
