Re: causing pressing "Enter" to open an associated application

(For example, when standing on *.html file and pressing Enter will open
a mozilla browser with that
file loaded in, standing on *.pfd file and pressing Enter will open xpdf
with that
*.pdf file loaded in , etc...)

How can it be done ?

It's already done. :^)

Press F9, in the Command menu select the "Edit extension file" entry. Find
the extensions you're interested in, and change or add the "Open=" line.

If an extension is not there, I think you can add its section. There seems to
be more to it, though, since some extensions, for example, for .c files, are
not there, but if you press Enter the editor opens nonetheless.
