Re: panelized items can't be deleted.

Hi,

I believe you selected directories and files. The directories were
deleted first, so the files in them were deleted before mc tried to delete
them individually.

Actually I was looking for all occurences of the file finder.dat. I did a find for 'finder.dat'. While the
file did occurr in directories, the containing directories was not selected for deletion.

If you want a better answer, describe a test case so that it can be
reproduced.

My test was finding all occurrences of finder.dat. I would suggest looking for a file that exists in all
directories and feed that to its own panel.

do i need to set a parameter in order to delete these files?

No. GNU Midnight Commander is interactive software. It should do what
the user wants. Except for some well established cases, such as locale
and terminal capabilities, the behavior of GNU Midnight Commander should
be determined by the user's actions.

thats kind of what i thought, but just wanted to make sure!

Thaks for your help!

Russ
