Problem when exiting MC on RH9

Hello,

I have a problem when exiting MC in rh 9; insead of reaching  a blank 
terminal screen
aftter quitting MC, I reach into the middle of a terminal with many lines of 
text above and below the prompt.
this does not occur in earlier version of RH (like 8,7.3, etc.) .
is ther a work around (to perform ,for example , "clear" automatically upon 
exit?)
