Hi!
I just installed Midnight Commander 4.5.55 from
sources. When I run it like this "mc -V" it tells me
that the version number is 4.5.42.
If you are using bash then you can use `type mc`
to see what mc is executed.
I checked the "$PATH" and the right binary is
executed. I mean the binary just build was copied into
/usr/local/bin/mc and this one gets executed.
Well, old mc can be executed and so it cannot be
overwritted. So, if you are sure `make install`
installs new mc to /usr/local/bin:
1. Remove /usr/local/bin/mc
2. make install again
