Ctrl-Del and Shft-Del do not work

Hi,
   I use MC editor and I can use shft-muse drag to
high light text then ctrl-ins and shft-ins to put
text to and from the clipboard.
   But, the trl-del and shft-del do not cut text to
and paste from the clipboard.
