Follow-up Comment #6, bug #18913 (project mc):
I see it on Ubuntu 6.06 too with the MC package. The crash happens if I set
LC_ALL to something different than something.UTF-8 - for exmaple setting
LC_ALL to C makes the program crash. I'll go and build from the CVS sources
now and see whether MC without the UTF-8 patches has this problem.
