Looks great.

I have written another test suite for mc which separates the log files 
into {configure,make_all,make_check,make_install}.{out,err}. That way I 
can see the warnings better.

You can call the testsuite with:

$ mc-tests.sh -cvs-repository ":ext:anoncvs cvs gnu org:/cvsroot/mc"

It will take about an hour to complete. Then you find lots of log files 
in ${TMPDIR-"/tmp"}/mc/logs.
