I believe the snapshot by definition is what is in CVS and a certain point 
of time without changes (other than version number).

I don't keep any private scripts.  I'm using maint/mcsnap from CVS.  I 
recommend that all scripts for maintainers are kept in CVS under maint.

I don't see anything funny in that.  I trusted you to make changes, but it 
looks like we are further from the release than we used to be.  I'll be 
forced to remove write permission from everybody who breaks the project 
and finds it funny.  Write access won't be restored until the regressions 
are fixed.

You didn't provide any details how to reproduce the problem.  mcsnap would 
not upload the snapshot without successful "make distcheck".  This measure 
is intentional to prevent upload of snapshots that don't compile.
