[sigc] libsigc++-2.0 TODO

Hi!

I think it is time to seriously consider the 2.0 release.

So what's stopping us?

Well, it would be really great if we could support the SUN Forte
compiler and maybe the latest version of MSVC in the initial release.
Again, I'm imploring anybody with access to these compilers
to fetch the latest unstable release (1.9.11) and give it a try!

To verify completeness of the compatibility module I'd like
someone to try to compile his libsigc++-1.2 based program(s)
with libsigc++-1.9.11. You shouldn't need to change any code.
Just include "sigc++/compatibility.h" in addition to
"sigc++/sigc++.h" unless you include the libsigc++ headers seperately.

Other TODOs I'm aware of:
- Settle adaptor and functor names (see seperate thread).
- Document accumulator API and adaptors.
- Clean up the current doxygen output.
- Add return codes to "make check" so that the user doesn't need
to analyze the code to see what the heck it is supposed to do
  to ensure it passed.

So no big tasks are left.
From my perspective, it would be well possible to release
libsigc++-2.0 in a few days time; let's say next Tuesday.
The documentation won't be perfect by then but for the other
points I don't expect they will be done after next week.

Opinions?

Regards,

  Martin
