Alexander works at the desktop group at Red Hat and has been working on
Gnome and the Linux Desktop for the last 16 years. His work has touched
many areas ranging all the way from glib/gtk to applications like
nautilus and gnome-contacts.

Currently he is working on Flatpak (previously xdg-app) which is a new application sandboxing and distribution framework that promises cross-distribution cross-desktop binary applications for the Linux Desktop.
