las-gnome LAS GNOME update

Hello Board,

The LAS GNOME team has pushed a news item announcing their conference on news.gnome.org as well as sharing this news on social media.  The next major tasks the team has already started working on include getting sponsorships and pinning down the rest of the items for the budget.  As Sri mentioned when he last talked to the Board, the venue needed to be secured with a 50% deposit ($3120).  In order to afford that, SUSE was invoiced (and subsequently paid) for their contribution towards our partnership for $5000.

The LAS GNOME team meets weekly on Fridays and is happy to increase communication with the Board if you think that is needed.
