Hi everyone,

It is finally that time for you all to sit down together, review the submissions and make the final selection for the talks to be accepted for LAS GNOME.

I’m sending this email to help facilitate that; I’ve drawn up a poll here https://framadate.org/vAOrCLqqsWrkHTjh where you can vote for the time slots that work for you. I’ll leave the channel, whether IRC or call, for you all to decide amongst yourselves the preferred mode.

I made a poll last week: https://framadate.org/ib2kxC4BkI2Nxjg9

Can people answer there instead, please? Philip and I already filled it out.

Here’s what you need to know;

1) We need your decision by Friday, Aug 5, 21:00 UTC. Inform us at las-gnome gnome org. It is a tight timeline, please try your best, since we do need to give the speakers ample time to make travel arrangements and also at least a couple of you are going to be travelling next week.

2) You can all access the submitted talks proposals at lasreg.gnome.org with your email aliases here.

3) We have 5 slots but we need the talks committee to select only 4 from the submissions (1 slot is already allocated to a pre-invited speaker).

If you find that the proposals are very compelling/interesting to turn down, i.e. you have more than 4 to choose from, let us know, we could perhaps re-jig the schedule to try and make it work.

Once you’ve decided, we need to inform the speakers selected so they could confirm their attendance. We would also need them to submit a photo and 2 sentences about themselves (to be put up on the website).

best
adelia
