I mistakenly/unintentionally blamed Kupfer for interpreting spaces as
pluses in text-mode, but I've fixed the issue (courtesy of Francesco
M.!) and pushed the change to my repo.

Welcome, and thanks! Well, it is pretty much summer now, most people are on vacation, but we will definitely check out your contribution. Give us couple of days for testing, I personally didnt have the time yet, my linux box is switched off since monday.
