I'm not quite sure what you mean. Kupfer suggests python-cjson in debian:

What is true is that many things about Kupfer could be communicated
more clearly. But that's why there is a wiki page anyone can edit with
will and time:

I suppose this will be solved if/when Kupfer finds more users.
