Re: Applet won't load to the panel



Hlo Giorgos!

To try to run it in panel, you have two options:

1) Run without -w flag in console, make sure that no previous instance
is running, and then add to panel
2) run sudo make install and then just add to panel

if the thing fails, you must be missing something. debugging applets
sometimes can get real complicated, but in most cases it's something
trivial - one idea - if you have added new files to hamster, make sure
that they appear in the Makefile.am in the folder you added the file.

If you can't figure out anything, debugging [1] is the only option left :)

When finished, to submit code just create a unified diff (svn diff >
somefile.txt or something - google around!)

P.S. Oh, and if you totally can't get your head around the problem -
just upload the patch to bug and describe your pain in detail, maybe
fresh pair of eyes can help there
