gvfs and PTP-only cameras

Does gvfs ( through whatever means it finds necessary
(libgphoto2,udev,hal,dbus,etc)), currently support reading images from
PTP only ( no mass storage / no memory card ) cameras?

If the answer is yes, then are the nautilus-file-management-properties
-> media -> Photo's choices supposed to be honoured? ( ask what to do,
do nothing, open folder, open in shotwell, etc ).
