There is a problem with your oaf or guppi installation.  Double
check a few things

1) When you compiled guppi was gnumeric already installed ?
2) Is there a guppi-gnumeric executable produced ?
3) what happens when you run 
    oaf-run-query "repo_ids.has('IDL:GNOME/Gnumeric/Graph_v1/Manager:1.0')"

That should give you a start to see where the problem lies.
