[gupnp] why we need gupnp-dlna?

Hi All,

 

   I am newbie to gupnp/dlna. I know that gupnp forum has gupnp-tools ( av-cp, universal cp, ..etc), which does discovers media servers/players and also has functionalities to control them using play, pause, stop, farward, volume control.

 

1. What are the functionalities of gupnp-dlna?
2. Why do we need gupnp-dlna, when we already have gupnp-tools?
3. Are discover, play, pause, stop, volume control..etc are not part of dlna?
