It's a one day event modeled after the very successful Ohio Linux Fest. The event is an un-official non-profit venture. We are forecasting 600 attendees for this event and are organizing the presentations into two tracks with two keynote sessions. There will be plenty of time for networking and socialization during the welcome party and the after party. We are hoping to finance the event with exhibitors and other sponsors. We are hoping that the Gnome Foundation can help. There are several ways this can be done. We need presenters and I'm hoping that a knowledgeable Gnome contributor, possibly local, can present. We also need sponsorship. If the Gnome Foundation is not capable of monetary sponsorship, perhaps it could help promote the event, either formally, or with introductions to potential sponsors and/or other speakers.
