I think we have invited some of those people in the past, actually.
Funding for travel has been a limiting factor, if memory serves me
correctly.



I don't think our relationship with Cinnamon has been that great, so we will need to be a bit cautious.  Elementary is still a fairly fledgling company, and they might opt to go with West Coast Summit (or whatever I end up calling it) since it is closer for them.  We had quite a few of them attend this year.  So if they go, they'll have to pick one of them and if they pick Europe it will be lot less of them.

There are other desktops built on GTK+ tech, we should consider that new one which I can't recall who have a desktop based on GNOME, there is also a QT project based on OSTree that might be worth reaching out to.

Finally, you also need to invite people who are interested in runtime and the like.  That is a killer feature, and if you can find people who have played with it and built something with it, that would also be worth having.

So, there are opportunities, we might need to pre-seed them and encourage something quite a bit beforehand.
