Hi,
Here are a few topics that came up during the last IRC meeting that we might want to think about before Monday's meeting.
- Distro summit: Brian Cameron mentioned that there was a very successful distro meeting at the last GNOME Asia, and suggested we might want to host something similar at GUADEC.
- Sponsors: We need to put together a small group from the local and international teams to work on the sponsor brochure, and once that's done, to contact possible sponsors. I think discussions on this should move to one of the private email lists.
- Sponsor opportunities: Some non-distro companies might appreciate other ways to interact with the GNOME development community. There was some discussion in the last IRC meeting about lightning talks or demo slots. Another example could be chip vendors, who might want to provide a lab, training, and/or discounts on prototype hardware. What other ways are there to provide value to sponsors that would also benefit the community, and what would we want to pursue around this?
Best regards,
Bob
